Artist's Statement

|
Memories are multiple layers of image and emotion. One memory tends to provoke images of another, and often another. The process of navigating through our mental images and the thoughts that surround them is at the essence of how we interpret the world. I seek to create images that evoke a familiar, yet peculiar, sense of time , place and emotion.
The search for truth is the adventure of a lifetime. What we find is comedy and tragedy and everything in between. When we glimpse some greater whole, the discovery fills us with a sense of wonder and compels us forward. I hope to initiate ripples and reflections as if a stone were dropped into a silent pool. Order is the undercurrent of chaos.
